Being a responsible organisation is about making a difference - helping our people to achieve their potential and playing our part in community.
Our people are our greatest asset and each employee plays an essential role in the success of our business. We actively seek out employees whose legal and business skills are matched with character, communication skills and enthusiasm. It's rewarding for clients and it makes our firm a great place to work.
Many people talk about the unique culture of Boyes Turner.
Our values represent what the firm stands for and what we are committed to uphold. They guide us through our daily work and interaction with others, both within the firm and outside of it shaping the decisions we reach and how we undertake our business.
We aim to always be open, supportive, ambitious and dynamic.
We are committed to creating an inclusive culture, a workplace where our people can be themselves and celebrate the fact that we're all individuals. We are proud that our workforce reflects the full potential and variety of the community in which we live. All employees are recruited on the basis of their suitability to the role and talent, regardless of age, colour, ethnicity, gender, nationality, partner preference, physical ability, sexual orientation, and religion.
Frequent employee surveys are carried out and there is an Employee Consultation Forum that meets on a regular basis. Together these provide an effective communications channel and ensures employees are fully involved in appropriate operational and policy decisions.
Wherever possible we assist our employees in balancing their home and work commitments.
Support and development
Our employees' professional development is important to us - we are Investors in People and Lexcel accredited.
All employees have regular appraisals and reviews, access to a full range of learning and development initiatives including bespoke training and are actively encouraged to develop their careers by through working towards and gaining further professional qualifications.
Our procurement process is based on principles of fairness and respect to ensure all our suppliers are treated similarly and without discrimination.
We encourage suppliers to follow practices consistent with our values and corporate responsibility aims.
For example, all the materials used by our cleaning contractors are environmentally friendly and all IT hardware is returned to suppliers for reconditioning and reuse when we no longer need it.
Wherever possible we buy and use fair trade products and select goods and services that are designed to reduce their environmental impact.
