Last night the Reading Professionals Quiz took place to support the charity Barnardos – which helps to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children.
28 teams took part in the event and raised over £4,500 in the process. The Boyes Turner team “Let’s get quizzical” which included Ruth Meyer, Paul Lowery, Stephen Baker, Niamh Sherwood and Paul Brent took first place and donated the top prize of a “£250 donation to a charity of choice” to Headway, which supports people who have suffered a brain injury and which the firm has close historical links with.
Ruth Meyer who captained the team said:
“It was a great evening and real pleasure to be able to help both Barnardos and Headway in the process. These charities do a huge amount for some of the most vulnerable people in society and we are always looking for opportunities to help out.”
