The well-established reputation of Reading-based law firm Boyes Turner for international work has been recognised with the firm being shortlisted for the Law Society’s prestigious Excellence in International Award. The Excellence Awards, now in their 11th year, recognise the best of the solicitor profession across a range of categories. The international award focuses on firms that are providing an excellent service to clients operating internationally.
Boyes Turner, with its roots firmly based in the Thames Valley, the destination of choice for international technology businesses entering the UK and establishing their head quarter operations for the wider EMEA market, has always had international clients at its core. Boyes Turner have built their reputation providing legal services to overseas companies and the UK subsidiaries of foreign companies requiring support to grow in the UK, across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and further afield.
Mark Blunden, Head of Commercial and Technology at Boyes Turner, who also leads the firm’s International and Foreign Direct Investment team, said:
“We’re based in a region that thrives on international connectivity and the technology and innovation businesses that this nurtures and attracts. We owe our international success to a combination of team work with law firms in other jurisdictions and our own experience and expertise developed over many years working closely with and supporting international companies seeking to establish and grow in the UK and in multiple other countries. A key factor to our success in managing these firms’ requirements across many different legal jurisdictions are the solid personal relationships we have with lawyers in other countries who form part of the teams we deploy to ensure our clients get the constancy of excellent service and responsiveness they demand. We’re honoured to see this recognised in our shortlisting for the Law Society’s prestigious International Excellence Award.
"To be recognised as among the best in our profession in this way, alongside a number of large City and international firms, is a real tribute to the importance we place in serving our international clientele."
The finalists have been chosen by a panel of senior legal experts, and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 19 October.
