Role Description

Boyes Turner is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Wealth Protection Partner who is interested in an exciting and rare opportunity to develop its existing team and Wealth Protection offering.  Boyes Turner is a modern and progressive firm seeking an individual who is used to dealing with high quality work and wanting to join a forward-thinking and ambitious firm.  

Once embedded into the business, the successful candidate will be developing and growing the client base by developing new service offerings with a view to attracting HNW and UHNW clients

Therefore, you must be business development focused, client facing and entrepreneurial to build and develop the Wealth Protection offering.

The successful candidate will work closely the Wealth Protection team together with the other Private Client Partners and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team and be able to mentor and oversee the work of junior Lawyers and help them to progress in their careers.

Experience/ Attributes required

  • STEP qualified
  • First class communication skills
  • A separate tax qualification would be desirable e.g. CTA
  • A track record of developing new business through networking, external and internal referrals
  • Experienced in presenting seminars, podcasts, webinars, writing technical articles

Experienced in management and supervision of junior members of the team​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Work type

Although this opportunity will be based around an individual’s own specialist areas, they will also be expected to have a broad knowledge across all areas of Wealth Protection matters including:

  • Estate administration including cross border administration
  • Wills including drafting and advising complex wills
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts, establishing, administering and terminating onshore trusts
  • Tax – knowledge of inheritance tax, capitals gains tax and income tax regimes in relation to trusts and estates
  • Estate planning for business owners
  • Family Investment Companies
  • Preferable but not essential
  • Experience on advising landed estates and heritage property
  • Offshore Trust Experience
  • Experience of advising non-domiciled individuals
  • Family Offices
  • Charities
