Digital Marketing Executive

Main purpose of the job

To provide a proactive marketing service to the practice groups within Boyes Turner.

Skills & Attributes

  • At least two year’s digital marketing experience in a busy team environment
  • CIM qualifications an advantage
  • Business to business digital marketing experience would be an advantage
  • Understanding of on-line and traditional marketing techniques
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to deal with strong minded individuals on a one to one basis
  • Problem solving skills and common sense
  • Flexible approach to work and willing to go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively in a team and on your own
  • Good key board and Microsoft office skills
  • Desire and ability to learn and practice new skills
  • Willing to question current practices and search for better ways to carry out tasks

  • Able to work on multiple tasks and manage time accordingly to meet deadlines

Responsibilities & tasks

  1. Content marketing for claims
    • Proactively organise and run monthly content meeting
    • Produce content specs for articles
    • Produce curated content (articles)
    • Content posting
    • Maintain content calendar and schedule
    • Video and podcast recording & editing
  2. SEO
    • Good knowledge and understanding of SEO practices
    • Use Semrush to research popular topics
    • Checking SEO score of draft articles
    • Provide SEO feedback and suggestions for low scoring content pieces
    • Meta optimisation on all claims sites
    • Backlinks (registering on directories, tracking websites mentioning our brand and asking for link back etc)
  3. Social media
    • Creating content and banners for social media
    • Posting on Boyes Turner services for individuals channels as per strategy & calendar
    • Recording activity and performance in content and social media schedule
    • E-marketing for claims (newsletters & events)
  4. Reporting
    • Produce monthly report and reporting meetings
  5. General team support
    • Photoshop 
    • Video editing skills desirable
    • Making ad hoc changes to all the firm’s websites
    • Supporting the marketing team with events/other projects when required
    • Assist/provide cover for other marketing team members as appropriate
    • Work in excess of normal working hours where it proves necessary, in the interests of the Firm or those of our clients
  6. Representing the firm / contact with clients & firm as a whole

This will involve:-

    • Attendance at seminars/events
    • Attending Boyes Turner practice group meetings
    • Producing written communications internally and externally
    • Liasing with suppliers
  1. Cross selling and practice development
    • Keep up to date with the firm’s developments, where ever appropriate to promote other practice groups in the firm
    • Where ever possible assist with practice development events organised by the firm
