For our next seminar we are delighted to welcome Patrick Clarke of Atkin Chambers who will explore Loss of a Chance Claims.

Patrick will provide a valuable insight into the issues which can arise in relation to claims for damages where there is uncertainty as to the actual extent of the loss suffered. He will focus in particular on identifying when a loss of a chance claim may arise, including recent cases.

This seminar will be of interest to all those in the construction industry who are involved with litigation arbitration and adjudications and who want to be up to speed with the latest developments including employers, contractors and professional consultants.

Patrick Clarke is a barrister at Atkin Chambers. Patrick’s practice is concerned with construction based disputes and matters with significant technical or scientific content. He has had particular involvement in statutory and contractual adjudications including drafting notices, submissions, evidence, hearings before the adjudicator and adjudication enforcement proceedings before the Technology and Construction Court and County Courts. He has appeared in the Technology and Construction Court and arbitrations concerning final account, loss and expense, liquidated damages and defects claims.
