Join us for a course focusing on how to manage the difficult conversations that often fall on the shoulders of HR and people managers.  We don’t outgrow difficult conversations or get promoted past them. The best workplaces and most effective organisations have them. In fact, having difficult conversations managed well is a sign of a healthy and successful culture within an organisation. Organisations and the individuals within them who can effectively deal with the inevitable stresses of work are more durable, emerge stronger with a greater sense of trust in each other, and are able to have passionate debates about key issues rather than veiled discussions and back channel comments.

We are thrilled to be able to run this course with Dr Jonathan Smith a Performance Psychologist who works in Paralympic and Olympic sport and was the ParalympicGB Performance Psychologist in Rio 2016. Throughout the course, Jonathan will highlight examples from his experience in the world of Paralympic and Olympic Sport, as well as the commercial world to bring the topic to life. This opportunity to hear Jonathan is one not to be missed!

This course is run in a small workshop style and will help individuals to understand the underpinning characteristics of difficult conversations, develop the skills to manage yourself through these difficult conversations and how to bring out the best in the other person so that you increase the chance of achieving the agenda of both people. We will explore real life examples and you will go away with a tool box of techniques to practice at home and at work. This course is aimed at HR professions, people managers and in-house lawyers.

Want to run this course in-house? Please speak to us.
