Please note that this event has now finished.

Following an inspiring talk by Sarah Winkless MBE at our June event, circumstances beyond our control forced the remainder of the event to be cancelled. We are pleased to include those topics in this September programme.

Boyes Turner and BCL Legal (in-house legal recruitment specialists) are pleased to invite you to a half-day seminar. The sessions will focus on topical legal issues and also include soft skills that in-house counsel can use to add value in their workplace.

  • Commercial property
Managing property risk on commercial property.

  • Immigration - understanding and mitigating risks
Recruiting foreign nationals is increasingly complex and becoming more so. There are increased powers of prosecution for those not complying and then there is Brexit...

  • Contracts
Our Dispute resolution team will provide an update on recent important contract cases as well as give an insight into how careful drafting can help to avoid disputes.

  • Soft skills session - An approach to social media to keep you out of court!
Rich Dibbins, Conscious Solutions Limited, will be our guest speaker for this soft skills session. Rich says: "Great, you're a General Counsel, you know the law, but is 'social media land' a lawless land that flouts the law as we know it? This talk will inspire, entertain and challenge your current thinking about how you can use social media to help your business and career and keep you out of court!"

The event is free and may help you meet your requirements under the continuing competence scheme.
