Cleo provides the Education team with administrative and secretarial support, she liaises with clients, schools and tribunals, prepares bundles, and maintains databases. She generally ensures the smooth and efficient running of the team so that clients receive the highest quality service possible.
Cleo has experience working in criminal law, social care, family and child law, and the Court of Protection.
Her background is in Psychology, as she has always been passionate about human behaviour and mental health. She has a BA in Applied Psychology and Sociology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology and then a MSc in Forensic Psychology. After graduation Cleo worked in The Priory Psychiatric hospital, various mental health charities, probation and as a senior support worker to offenders with mental health issues. Along with the opportunity to help people in crisis, working in these challenging environments has taught her to remain calm under pressure, adapt to situations quickly, and be extremely organised.
She always found the legal aspects of this work fascinating, and has now been fortunate enough to change career so that she can utilise her knowledge, administrative and organisational skills in the field of Law.
For the last year Cleo worked in the legal department of East Sussex County Council as a legal assistant to five solicitors, supporting them with a range of public child law cases. She is now excited to move into the private sector; to dedicate myself and progress within Boyes Turner.
