Darryn qualified and practiced as an attorney in South Africa before emigrating to the United Kingdom in 2003. He worked in a number of central and local government roles before qualifying as a solicitor in 2008. Since qualifying, Darryn has worked in both the public and private practice sectors in London and the South East, gaining further valuable litigation experience.
Darryn joined Boyes Turner in March 2020 on a 12-month fixed term contract, working with Russell May in the Property Disputes team.
Despite dealing with predominantly property dispute-related matters for the past 17 years, Darryn has also dealt with insolvency matters and has worked for the Insolvency Service. Darryn’s interest in insolvency law first developed in South Africa during his training contract, working with a partner at a large national law firm, and has continued ever since.
In early 2021, Darryn was successful in securing a permanent position within the Business Support and Insolvency team and now looks forward to continuing to develop his knowledge and understanding of this area of law.
