(ASSOCIATE - SOLICITOR)
Jemma joins Boyes Turner as an associate - solicitor specialising in Community care. She assists individuals with disabilities and their family members dealing with issues related to their care needs. She deals with cases involving adults and children using her specialist knowledge of the legislation to navigate these cases.
Jemma has considerable experience in conducting successful challenges against a wide range of public bodies including Local Authorities and Primary Care Trusts. Many cases have settled without the need for court proceedings and have resulted in vulnerable individuals securing the support and assistance that they required.
Jemma has also practiced in the Court of Protection, particularly in Health and Welfare matters for which she has been commended in the Legal 500 for her attention to detail and communication skills. She has represented both the individual who is subject to the proceedings and their family members in complex matters relating to issues such as residence, care packages and medical treatment.
Jemma is a member of the Law Society and the Law Society’s Mental Health Accreditation Scheme.
