Katie is an associate - solicitor in the firm’s Dispute resolution group, specialising in both residential and commercial property disputes. She has experience of both High Court and County Court litigation as well as applications to the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and has been involved in appeals to both the Court of Appeal and the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).
Katie regularly advises on a range of commercial landlord and tenant matters including business lease renewals (both opposed and unopposed), dilapidations and loss of rent claims, commercial rent arrears recovery, forfeiture, restrictive covenants and disputed break clauses. She also assists private clients in relation to residential possession claims, neighbour disputes, leasehold enfranchisement and residential landlord and tenant issues.
Outside of property litigation, Katie has assisted on a number of larger commercial litigation matters, including acting for a Formula One design company in proceedings against a Formula One racing team for the recovery of outstanding invoices, which reached the Court of Appeal. She also has experience advising claimants in professional negligence claims against solicitors and surveyors.
Katie is a member of the Law Society and the Property Litigation Association.
