Oliver has over 10 years’ specialist experience working with and for insolvency practitioners, companies, directors and private individuals across an extensive scope of insolvency matters involving litigious proceedings, transactional instructions and general advisory work (such as advising on the validity of security and appointments of office holders), all in the context of both personal and corporate insolvency procedures.
Oliver has a well-rounded level of expertise in dealing with both transactional and contentious insolvency instructions.
His transactional experience relates to assisting insolvency practitioners realise a company’s business or assets or assisting third parties acquire those assets from officeholders. On the contentious side, Oliver has a deep-rooted expertise in acting on a variety of contentious proceedings, typically for insolvency practitioner clients pursuing, or acting for directors or individuals defending, antecedent transactions (such as transactions at an undervalue, unlawful preferences, wrongful or fraudulent trading) often in both liquidation and bankruptcy contexts.
He has been a long standing member of the team which has been consistently ranked as a "Band 1" Insolvency practice by Chambers UK.
He has personally been ranked as a ‘Star Associate’ by Chambers UK, noted for his “exemplary service” by clients and a “Rising Star” in the latest Legal 500 directory.
