Rosie specialises in Court of Protection health and welfare and community care matters. She can advise on issues relating to mental capacity, best interests decisions, deprivation of liberty and personal welfare deputyship applications.
She also advises individuals on health and social care issues, including how to access care and support from social services or the NHS.
Rosie has been successful in challenging decisions relating to NHS Continuing Healthcare funding and reductions in the level of support provided to disabled children and adults. She has successfully achieved the move of several vulnerable adults deprived of their liberty in residential care homes to less restrictive accommodation or back to their own homes through proceedings in the Court of Protection. Rosie has also advised and supported family members on issues relating to the withdrawal of life-sustaining medical treatment.
