Mrs P worked for London Borough of Newham as a teacher from 1983 until 1986 and was exposed to asbestos whilst working at Lister School in the London Borough of Newham. Mrs P unfortunately developed peritoneal mesothelioma which eventually led to her sad death.

Extensive research and evidence was gathered from former pupils and teachers of the school to prove that she had been exposed to asbestos during her employment.
A claim has now successfully been concluded on behalf of Mrs P’s family to settle her claim in the sum of £450,000.
