1-2 Year PQE Chartered Legal Executive/Solicitor or Senior Paralegal

Description

We have a great opportunity for a Community Care/Public Law Chartered Legal Executive/Solicitor or Senior Paralegal to join our growing, fast-paced and friendly Court of Protection team based in Reading.

Reporting into the Senior Associate you will be responsible for independently managing a caseload of privately fee-paying clients under the supervision of a senior fee earner. You will also contribute to supporting junior fee earners and support staff whilst contributing to the development of the team.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 1-2 years’ experience working within a similar role, although this is not a pre-requisite. You will be enthusiastic and will have a good degree of resilience and composure to provide a high-quality and professional service to our clients and to our fee earners in the Court of Protection Team. Training will be provided to candidates that lack experience but can demonstrate a commitment to working in our practice area.

The Community Care/Public Law team works with professional deputies and other private clients, including charities. No legal aid work is carried out by our team.

We are currently operating on a hybrid working pattern with approximately 1-2 days in the office per week, however open to discussion.

Once embedded into the business, the successful candidate will be developing and growing the client base by developing new service offerings with a view to attracting HNW and UHNW clients

Therefore, you must be business development focused, client facing and entrepreneurial to build and develop the Wills, Trusts and Probate offering.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Wills, Trusts and Probate team together with the other Private Client Partners and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team and be able to mentor and oversee the work of junior Lawyers and help them to progress in their careers.
