Chris Dobson

Chris Dobson is a Partner and Head of Boyes Turner’s Corporate team, with extensive experience advising UK and international clients on high-value and business-critical corporate transactions, investments and governance matters.

Chris acts for a diverse client base across the UK and internationally, including entrepreneurial founders, angel investors, owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies, multinational groups and listed companies. He advises clients at every stage of the business lifecycle, from growth and investment through to strategic acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and exit planning.

With a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, Chris advises both buyers and sellers on complex domestic and cross-border transactions across a wide range of sectors. He works closely with business owners, management teams and investors throughout the deal process, providing strategic guidance on transaction structuring, negotiations, due diligence and risk management to help clients achieve their commercial objectives while maximising value.

Chris has significant experience advising a number of multinational organisations on acquisitions across the UK and Europe and he has also worked with a number of business owners in the tech sector on high-value disposals. 

Drawing on extensive transactional experience, Chris is adept at identifying potential issues at an early stage, finding pragmatic solutions to complex challenges and maintaining momentum throughout a transaction. Clients value his commercial perspective, clear communication and ability to distil complex legal issues into practical advice, enabling them to make informed decisions with confidence.
