Emma Carter is a Paralegal in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team. She provides support to the solicitors in the team on all matters relating to private wealth and tax planning, inheritance, and estate administration.
Emma has particular experience in the administration of both taxable and non-taxable complex estates, including those with cross-border elements such as overseas assets or beneficiaries. She assists with the practical and administrative aspects of the estate administration process. Her experience with cross-jurisdictional matters has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of the additional legal and practical considerations involved.
Emma also provides support on matters relating to wealth and tax planning for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. She has experience in the drafting and implementation of tax planning measures such as complex Wills, Letters of Wishes and Trust mechanisms. She understands the importance of discretion.
She prides herself on her empathetic approach when working with clients during what is often an emotional time, ensuring the right balance of sensitivity and practical guidance. Emma understands the importance of clear communication and proactive support from the start of the estate administration through to completion.
