Chanel Pazos

Chanel Pazos is a Solicitor in Boyes Turner’s highly regarded Community Care team, advising on a broad range of health and social care matters. She has experience supporting clients with care planning, challenges relating to health and social care funding, and issues concerning mental capacity and best interests decision-making. Chanel works closely with vulnerable individuals, their families and Deputies to provide clear, compassionate and practical advice to help them navigate often complex and sensitive situations. She is committed to achieving outcomes that protect her clients’ wellbeing, independence and legal rights.

Throughout her career, Chanel has gained varied experience including in; Children Law, Mental Health Law and Court of Protection matters. She now applies her combined experience to advise on Community Care matters.

Chanel uses her acquired knowledge to deliver holistic advice on care and support matters which often encompass a myriad of overlapping issues. Chanel advises on a range of matters with a particular interest on care and funding issues; including direct payments and personal health budgets, NHS Continuing Healthcare funding, financial assessments and charges for care, and issues related to questions of mental capacity and best interests decision-making. She supports clients through complex funding assessments, appeals and reviews, helping to challenge decisions where care packages or funding do not adequately meet needs. Chanel combines a detailed understanding of the legal framework with a compassionate and practical approach, ensuring that clients feel supported during what can often be an emotionally difficult and stressful process.

Chanel is passionate about ensuring vulnerable adults and children receive the support and services they are entitled to, and seeks to address any improper barriers or arbitrary decision making that act as inhibitors.
