Audrey Elmore

Audrey is the Medical Records Coordinator in Boyes Turner’s highly regarded Medical Negligence team. Drawing on her specialist nursing background and extensive experience in neonatal intensive care, she provides invaluable clinical insight and support on complex medical negligence claims.

Audrey draws on her extensive clinical knowledge gained from 38 years as a general and sick children’s nurse within the NHS and 16 years as a matron managing neonatal intensive care services in two NHS hospitals.

Drawing on her extensive nursing and neonatal intensive care experience, Audrey plays a key role in helping the Medical Negligence team understand and analyse complex medical evidence. She reviews and organises large volumes of medical records, prepares detailed medical chronologies and helps identify the clinical issues that may be relevant to a claim. Her ability to interpret medical documentation and present information clearly supports the team in investigating claims efficiently and building a comprehensive picture of each client’s circumstances. This expertise is particularly valuable in complex cases involving significant injuries, long medical histories and extensive healthcare records.

A significant proportion of the team’s work involves birth injury and neonatal injury claims, making Audrey’s specialist background in paediatric and neonatal nursing an invaluable asset. Her experience caring for babies and children in medical settings gives her a detailed understanding of the medical issues that frequently arise in these complex cases. Audrey particularly enjoys applying this knowledge to support families affected by avoidable injury, helping the team analyse medical records, understand the clinical context of events and build a comprehensive picture of the care that was provided.

Audrey supports the team on a wide range of complex medical negligence claims, including those involving birth injury, cerebral palsy, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, delayed diagnosis and other life-changing injuries. Many of these cases involve extensive medical histories and large volumes of clinical records. Audrey’s role in reviewing, organising and analysing this information helps ensure the legal team has a clear understanding of the medical evidence underpinning each claim.
