A unique opportunity to gain an insight into what it is like to work for our law firm
During the placement week, you will spend time working in different practice areas and will be required to undertake real fee-earning work. This is likely to include research, drafting letters, attending client meetings and attending court, and you will work closely with a current trainee during your time in each group in addition to working with numerous lawyers and Partners.
Attending work experience is a full time commitment and students are expected to attend the whole placement. Normal working hours are 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, with one hour for lunch. Please note, we are unable to offer accommodation or travel reimbursement for travel associated with work experience.

When does Boyes Turner offer work experience?
We offer work experience opportunities on three weeks throughout the year. There are six placements available for each week.
The dates for 2026 are:
16th to 19th February
13th to 16th April
24th to 27th August
Who should apply?
We select students from a wide range of universities and disciplines. Both law and non-law students are encouraged to apply. Please note our work experience programme is for second or final year law students, final year non-law students and postgraduates.
When should I apply?
Applications for the 2026 work experience programme will close on the 18th January 2026.
How does the selection process work?
Shortlisting will be based on:
- being in second or final year (law students) or final year (non-law students and postgraduates)
- the content and interest shown in your application (CV and covering letter)
- all strong applicants will be invited to speak with a member of the HR team to discuss skills, experience and future aspirations in more detail.
All applicants will be contacted to be informed if they have been successful.
