Boyes Turner’s specialist asbestos compensation team were instructed by Mrs D following the death of her husband from the asbestos related disease mesothelioma.
Mr D spent the majority of his working life working for Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company where he was heavily exposed to asbestos. Sadly Mr D was not diagnosed with mesothelioma during his life time and Boyes Turner were instructed by Mrs D following Mr D’s death.
Boyes Turner quickly arranged an interim payment of £50,000 for Mrs D and thereafter the claim quickly settled for £115,000. During his lifetime Mr D had received assistance from Cotswold Care Hospice and Boyes Turner were able to recover the Hospice’s costs in caring for Mr D as part of the claim.
