£100,000 compensation recovered for mesothelioma victim

Boyes Turner successfully recovered £100,000 compensation for an asbestos victim with mesothelioma caused whilst working at Bretherton & Co and also British American Products.

The victim an 84 year old man was employed as a labourer in the 1950’s by Brotherton & Co Limited. His job involved lagging pipes with asbestos and mixing asbestos with water to create a paste to be spread on the pipes by hand.

He was also exposed to asbestos in the 1980’s and 90’s whilst employed as a process operator by British American Products Limited whilst repairing asbestos lagging with black insulation tape.

The claim settled for £100,000.
