Gary Parkinson

Gary Parkinson is a Partner and Head of Boyes Turner’s highly regarded Property Disputes team. With more than 38 years of experience, he advises businesses, property owners, landlords and tenants on a wide range of complex property disputes. Gary is recognised for his extensive expertise in property rights, landlord and tenant matters, and the interpretation and enforcement of lease provisions, providing strategic and commercially focused advice to clients across a broad range of sectors.

Gary specialises in all aspects of commercial property disputes including those concerning sale and purchase, restrictive covenants, contested and non-contested business lease renewal, dilapidations, break clauses, rights of way and commercial service charges. He is known for his straightforward commercial advice and his tenacity in pursuing his client’s goals.

Gary has expertise in acting in heavyweight and complex cases representing business clients including corporate occupiers and owners, developers, managers, and property investment companies. He has extensive experience of Alternative Dispute Resolution but where that fails or is inappropriate, he has taken claims to the High Court, the Technology and Construction Court and the Upper Lands Tribunal.
