Head of Human Resources

Helen Barnett is Head of Human Resources at Boyes Turner and is responsible for people and culture and has led the HR team since 2000. During this time, she has played a key role in shaping and delivering the firm’s people strategy, ensuring it supports the firm’s ambitious growth plans while maintaining Boyes Turner’s reputation as a positive, inclusive place to work.

Helen works closely with leadership teams across the business to develop and implement initiatives focused on recruitment, talent development, employee engagement, wellbeing, equity, diversity, inclusion, and long-term career progression. She has played an important role in shaping policies and programmes that support flexible and remote working, enhanced employee benefits, wellbeing initiatives and wider people-focused strategies designed to ensure Boyes Turner remains a progressive, supportive and rewarding place to work.

Helen is passionate about fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture where individuals feel valued, supported and empowered to develop their careers and contribute to the success of the firm. She actively supports initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion and social responsibility across the business, including DEI programmes, social mobility programmes, pride initiatives, wellbeing campaigns and environmental and sustainability objectives aligned to the firm’s wider net zero and ESG commitments.

With extensive experience in people management and organisational development, Helen has helped drive the continued evolution of the firm’s culture and workplace practices in line with the changing expectations of both employees and clients. Her strategic and people-focused approach supports the attraction, development and retention of high-quality talent, helping ensure clients continue to benefit from engaged, motivated and high-performing teams across the firm.

Helen is a member of Member of the institute of personnel and development (MCIPD) , has a Masters degree in Human Resource Management (MAHRM). As a trained coach and mediator she is a keen supporter of work place mediation.
