Libby Buxton is a Paralegal in Boyes Turner’s Special Educational Needs team, supporting children, young people and their families across a range of SEND matters. She assists clients throughout the Education, Health and Care (EHC) process, helping families navigate what can often be a complex and challenging system while working towards securing the educational support and provision their children need.
Libby plays an important role in supporting both clients and the wider Special Educational Needs team, helping to ensure families receive timely, organised and responsive support throughout their matter. She is often one of the first points of contact for parents seeking advice and guidance, assisting with enquiries and helping families understand the support available to them. Behind the scenes, Libby helps coordinate information, prepare documentation and keep matters progressing efficiently, enabling the team to focus on securing the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Her organised, approachable and proactive approach helps ensure families feel supported, informed and reassured from the outset of their journey with Boyes Turner.
Libby specialises in EHC needs assessment requests and appeals, as well as securing and instructing independent experts and specialist counsel to support families in SEND matters.
Libby assists to instruct expert assessments for the clients and to ensure that the clients are kept up to date with their case. She also assists to draft a range of appeals, and EHC needs assessment requests ready to lodge with SENDIST.
