Rowan Turrall

Rowan Turrall is Partner and Head of Boyes Turner’s Dispute Resolution and Debt Recovery team. She advises businesses and individuals on a broad range of complex disputes, with particular expertise in matters arising within the technology and construction sectors. Acting for clients ranging from SMEs to large organisations, Rowan provides strategic and commercially focused advice on contentious issues that can have significant financial and operational implications for her clients.

Rowan has over 20 years of experience advising clients on resolving their disputes. Having started as a trainee at Boyes Turner, she is now responsible for leading the firm’s Dispute Resolution team which includes specialists in property disputes, construction disputes, inheritance disputes, debt recovery and commercial disputes.

A large proportion of Rowan’s work focuses on issues arising on construction and technology projects. She frequently advises clients on dispute avoidance strategies and mitigation of risk prior to court proceedings being commenced. Where a dispute cannot be avoided then she guides her clients through litigation, mediation or adjudication. 

Rowan is known for providing practical and pragmatic advice to her clients who appreciate her calm approach to the issues they face in what are very often high pressure and stressful situations.

Alongside her client work, Rowan has established and leads a thriving professional community for in-house lawyers. She organises and hosts regular roundtables, webinars, seminars and conferences, creating opportunities for General Counsel, Heads of Legal and in-house legal professionals to share experiences, discuss emerging legal and commercial issues and build valuable industry connections.

She also develops and delivers presentations on construction and dispute resolution topics, reflecting her commitment to knowledge sharing and supporting businesses in navigating complex legal challenges.
