Compensation for car passenger injured in motorway accident

Boyes Turner’s personal injury lawyers secured a compensation settlement in an RTA injury claim for a client who was injured in a motorway accident.

Our client was a passenger in a car that was being driven by her husband on the motorway when another vehicle hit the back of their car causing it to collide with the barriers on the side of the road. She suffered injuries to her neck, back, hip, legs, shoulder and left arm. She made a full recovery from all her injuries but has ongoing pain in her lower back. Our client’s income was affected by a delay in her promotion when she was unable to complete a programme in which she was enrolled at the time of the accident.

The driver of the other vehicle admitted liability (responsibility) for the accident. The driver’s insurers made an offer of settlement but it was too low and we advised our client to reject it. We issued court proceedings and obtained a liability judgment. The claim finally concluded with a significantly higher, negotiated, out-of-court settlement.

If you have suffered a serious injury in an accident caused by somebody else’s negligence, and you would like to find out more about making a claim, you can talk to one of our solicitors, free and confidentially, by contacting us here.
