His experience encompasses managing large-scale group litigation, unfair and wrongful dismissal claims, TUPE matters, discrimination and whistleblowing claims, complex commission and bonus claims and advising across a broad range of other employment related matters including settlement agreements, working hours claims, grievances and disciplinaries and advising on terms and conditions of employment.

As well as being an accomplished litigator, Peter is experienced in handling complex and high-value disputes, including matters involving sensitive workplace issues, senior employees and significant reputational considerations. His ability to combine strong technical legal knowledge with effective advocacy and tactical case management helps clients navigate otherwise difficult situations confidently while protecting their wider commercial interests.

Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession has stated the following about Peter, “His knowledge is second to none. I don’t know how long he’s been doing it but my impression is that it is a long time – he knows the subject inside and out”.

Peter's key cases

A few of Peter’s key cases include:

  • Assisting a client in a complex commission claim worth in excess of £20k. Peter’s work resulted in the Claimant admitting he actually owed the Respondent £8k which he agreed to pay back and he withdrew his claim.
  • Assisting a national regulator in a complex group action trade union action.
  • Successfully defending a complex litigated matter involving numerous allegations of discrimination where the Claimant was vexatiously damaging the Respondent’s brand online. Peter persuaded the Claimant his claim lacked prospects, to withdraw it and to remove all damaging material that he had posted online and he agreed not to post any future damaging material.
  • Assisting a charity in a complex matter involving the right of volunteers to pursue a whistleblowing claim, which if established would have had major wide impacting changes to the law around protected disclosures.
