We are seeking a Commercial Solicitor to join our dynamic and friendly Commercial & Technology Team in Reading. Our clients include global and international companies with regional headquarters based in the UK or mainland Europe; mid-market UK companies and fast-growing and entrepreneurial businesses. We provide legal services to the UK/EMEA operating entities of US-owned companies. For many clients we act as external, and often sole, legal counsel providing day-to-day advice on commercial contractual matters and data protection. Many of our clients are in the technology, media, retail and hospitality & leisure sectors.

Community Care & Welfare Solicitor or Legal Executive (4–8 years PQE)

Reporting to the Partner and Head of Team, you will manage your own caseload of privately fee-paying clients and play a key role in supervising junior fee earners and contributing to the development of this specialist area of law. The team specialises in the provision of highly tailored education, health, social care and welfare advice to Court of Protection Deputies, their clients and professionals in respect of children and adults living with a disability, injury or illness.

Senior Associate – Court of Protection

Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate Solicitor ready to take the next step in their career, joining a successful and well-regarded Court of Protection team ranked in both Chambers and The Legal 500. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in managing the team and will contribute to shaping its future direction alongside existing partners. They will act as a director of the firm’s trust corporation, as well as a professional deputy and/or trustee. They will manage their own client relationships, act as decision-maker, and be supported by other members of the team. The role includes attending annual review meetings, investment meetings, and site/adaptation visits across England and Wales. A key aspect of the role will also be to mentor, coach and support the development of junior team members. We operate a hybrid working model. For this role, we anticipate a minimum of two days per week in our Reading office.
