Settlement for cyclist with physical and psychological injuries after collision with car on a roundabout

Boyes Turner’s cyclist accident claims lawyers secured a compensation settlement for a cyclist who suffered physical and psychological injuries from a collision with a car.

Our client had already entered the roundabout and had right of way when her bike was hit from behind by the defendant driver’s car. She suffered a mild head injury, lacerations, a soft tissue injury to her lower back and coccyx, and a cracked front tooth. She had psychological symptoms of travel anxiety.

We put our client’s claim for compensation to the car driver’s insurers. The insurers accepted responsibility for our client’s injuries and paid for our client to receive physiotherapy and psychological treatment. Despite the treatment, our client suffered ongoing back pain and occasional headaches. Our client’s claim concluded with an out-of-court settlement.

If you or someone in your family have suffered serious injury caused by someone else’s negligence and you would like to find out more about making a claim, you can talk to one of our specialist solicitors, free and confidentially, by contacting us here.
