Cerebral palsy claim settled for £1.4 million

Yesterday at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, Mrs Justice Nicola Davies, a high court Judge, approved the settlement in a very complex cerebral palsy claim, handled by Boyes Turner, for a child with profound disabilities caused by injuries sustained at birth.

The judge praised Boyes Turner solicitors and James Watson QC for their handling of the claim. The claim settled for a capital sum of £1,400,000 and additional substantial annual periodical payments for the rest of the child’s life to ensure that his needs are adequately met and to provide future security for him and his family.

The overall capital value of the settlement will therefore depend on how long the child lives.
