Phil is a partner in the dispute resolution team. He specialises in providing dispute resolution services across a wide spectrum of sectors with a particular emphasis on business-to-business disputes.
He regularly advises on complex commercial contract claims normally relating to the supply of services and goods, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, insurance claims, asset finance litigation as well as high value property disputes. At Boyes Turner, Phil’s clients include high net worth individuals, SME’s, large owner managed businesses, start-ups, PLC’s and multinational organisations.
Another side of his work includes the advising of companies, directors, stakeholders and individuals in relation to strategic issues with a view to avoiding or containing potential disputes. As an Alternative Disputes Resolution practitioner, Phil frequently assists clients settle claims without the need for costly litigation. Phil also has his Higher Rights of Audience and regularly undertakes Court advocacy in the County Court and High Court on behalf of clients.
Phil trained and qualified at a large regional firm in Hampshire before working for two years in the British Virgin Islands undertaking offshore dispute resolution/litigation. Phil also has experience of property and insolvency related matters having previously been recognised as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in The Legal 500 in respect of Insolvency and Corporate Recovery work.
