Steven Baylis is a Consultant Solicitor in our highly regarded Court of Protection, Community Care, and Special Educational Needs teams. His expertise in Community Care, Special Educational Needs and Public Law allows him to provide comprehensive legal advice relating to the rights of children and adults living with a disability, injury, or illness.
Steven has over 15 years of experience of advising parents, young people, schools and colleges, the Official Solicitor, deputies and advocates. His pragmatic approach and ability to translate complex legal issues into straightforward language ensures that his advice is comprehensive and clear.
Before becoming a solicitor, Steven worked as a teaching assistant in a special school and provided care to children and adults with physical and/or mental disabilities. Steven has seen first-hand the difference that suitable provision can make. He utilises this perspective when advising clients.
