Tara Pileggi-Byrne is a Senior Associate Solicitor in Boyes Turner’s highly regarded Medical Negligence team. With more than 10 years’ experience, she specialises in helping individuals and families affected by negligent medical treatment, guiding clients through complex claims with expertise, compassion and a strong focus on achieving the best possible outcomes.
Tara has extensive experience advising on a wide variety of medical negligence claims, particularly those involving delayed diagnosis and failures in treatment that have resulted in serious and avoidable harm. She represents clients affected by conditions including amputation, sepsis, cancer, cauda equina syndrome and subarachnoid haemorrhage, as well as those who have suffered injury as a result of surgical errors or negligent maternity care. Tara also assists with complex catastrophic injury claims, including cerebral palsy cases, and supports families pursuing claims following the loss of a loved one. Her focus is always on helping clients secure the compensation, support and financial security they need for the future.
Tara is known for her compassionate and approachable manner, taking the time to understand the individual circumstances and priorities of every client she represents. She recognises that medical negligence claims often arise following deeply distressing experiences and works hard to make the legal process as clear and manageable as possible. Combining empathy with strong technical expertise, Tara provides practical advice, clear communication and robust representation throughout a claim. Her thorough and collaborative approach helps clients feel supported and informed, while her determination to achieve the best possible outcome ensures their long-term needs remain at the forefront of every decision.
