Claire Taylor-Evans

Partner

Claire Taylor-Evans is a Partner in Boyes Turner’s Employment team and an experienced Employment Tribunal advocate. She advises employers on complex and strategically important workplace matters, with particular expertise in discrimination law, senior executive exits, employment tribunal litigation, restructuring projects, gender pay gap reporting and supporting employers with their obligation to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

Claire has specialised in employment law for more than 20 years and works with corporate clients across sectors including technology, leisure, hospitality and medical technology. Clients value her proactive, pragmatic and commercially focused advice, particularly on high-value matters where legal, operational and reputational risks need to be managed carefully.

Clients praise Claire for her ability to “uncomplicate the complicated”. One client comments: “It truly feels like she is an extension of my regional team and consistently provides expertise balanced with commercial pragmatic guidance. From my perspective, I could not ask for a better combination.”

Claire is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion, and has developed a suite of innovative employer support services to help organisations manage risk, strengthen workplace culture and meet evolving legal obligations. These include a Preventing Sexual Harassment Support Package, which provides employers with practical, lawyer-led bespoke support  including risk assessments, action plans, policy reviews, leadership support and tailored training for senior leaders, managers, HR teams and employees.

This innovative, client-focused approach was a key factor in Boyes Turner’s Employment team being crowned Employment Law Firm of the Year at the Personnel Today Awards 2025.

Claire also developed and leads an in house Gender Pay Gap Reporting service, designed to support clients with data analysis, report preparation, narrative drafting and wider diversity and inclusion strategy, including equality and menopause action plans.

Alongside her client-focused equality, diversity and inclusion work, she plays a leading role in advancing the firm’s DEI strategy as a member of the DEI Committee and champion of the Gender Group, which lead to the Firm being shortlisted as finalists in the Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2026. Claire also sits on the firm’s Management Committee.

Claire develops and delivers training for clients and industry groups, including the CIPD. She is a professional mentor for CIPD members and University of Law students, and a contributing author to Bloomsbury Professional’s annual Termination of Employment publication.

Claire provides strategic HR and employment law advice to employers, working closely with HR teams, senior leaders and in-house counsel to resolve complex and sensitive workplace issues. Recent work includes defending complex discrimination claims, managing senior exits, supporting restructures and advising on high-value employee relations matters.

Claire also leads the HR Professionals Tech Roundtable, a community that enables HR leaders and sector peers to connect, share insight and discuss topical challenges through quarterly virtual roundtables and in-person events. The initiative provides added value for clients and strengthens Boyes Turner’s profile in the technology sector.

She is motivated by helping clients anticipate legal and workplace developments and respond with practical, commercially sound solutions. Her work combines technical employment law expertise with a clear understanding of organisational culture, risk and business priorities.
