Emma is a Paralegal in Boyes Turner’s Court of Protection team, where she supports professional deputies and clients by helping manage the property and financial affairs of individuals who lack the mental capacity to make decisions independently.

Emma’s work centres on managing property and financial affairs for vulnerable individuals who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves. She carries out a wide range of tasks, including deputyship administration, preparing Court of Protection applications, OPG documentation, benefit reviews, audits, arranging financial transactions, and maintaining accurate records. Emma works closely with families, care providers and third party organisations to coordinate ongoing matters and keep cases progressing smoothly. Her organised and proactive approach helps deliver a seamless and reassuring experience for vulnerable individuals and families supported by the Court of Protection team.

Emma is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to work that safeguards people who cannot make decisions for themselves. She understands the significance of Court of Protection involvement and approaches each matter with diligence and careful attention.

Emma previously worked as a Legal Assistant in a local authority, gaining valuable experience in children law and the safeguarding of vulnerable children. This background strengthened her ability to support people in sensitive and complex circumstances, and she now brings that same clarity, empathy and professionalism to her work within the Court of Protection team.
