Conditional fee agreements

The vast majority of medical negligence, personal injury, and asbestos claims are funded under a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) with associated After The Event (ATE) insurance. With this funding you are assured there will be no cost to you at all if your claim does not succeed.

If you suffer from mesothelioma there is also no cost to you when your claim succeeds.

For all other injury claims funded under a Conditional Fee Agreement there will almost certainly be some (although limited) contribution towards the legal costs incurred. The level of contribution depends on a number of factors which we will talk through with you before entering into a funding agreement.

Legal expense insurance/Union or membership funding

You may have the benefit of an existing legal expense insurance policy or union or membership scheme funding which will may fund or part fund your claim. We can liaise with the insurer / organisation to confirm cover.

Legal aid

We have been granted a Legal Aid contract and are able to offer Legal Aid funding to those clients whose injuries fall within the scope of Legal Aid funding (children who have suffered brain damage at around the time of birth or shortly afterwards where there are concerns the injury was caused by failures in medical care). Under Legal Aid funding there is generally no cost to the client at all whether or not the claim is successful.
