Emma is a Legal Director and Head of HR Training in the Employment team. She designs and delivers employment law, leadership and development and compliance courses to HR teams, managers and wider employee populations. Emma manages the team’s conferences, webinars and HR workshop programme. Emma also advises clients on day to day HR and employment law issues, drafts employment contracts and policies and assists individuals with settlement agreements. Emma is also the Employment team’s knowledge lawyer.
Emma acts for clients both in the UK and globally. She has a particular interest in acting for clients in the automotive sector, including the growing EV market as well as acting for clients in the leisure, hospitality and technology sector.
Emma is a regular speaker on employment law issues at conferences, webinars and podcasts. She runs a monthly webinar programme for the team, as well as appearing on other’s programmes. Emma also talks on empowering women in business, as well on issues impacting developing and supporting future talent. She also writes regularly for HR specialist publications, national newspapers, magazines and digital publications.
Emma is a member of both the Employment Lawyers Association and the European Employment Lawyers Association.
In her spare time, Emma is a school governor at a local secondary school, focusing on supporting the school’s careers and personal development programme.
