Keynote – listen, understand, influence
Richard Mullender, a former London detective and hostage negotiator, rose to prominence for his exceptional interviewing skills. His expertise led to his appointment as Lead Trainer at Scotland Yard’s National Hostage Negotiation and Crisis Unit. Drawing on high-stakes experiences – from Taliban negotiations to international extortion threats and domestic sieges, Richard radically overhauled Scotland Yard’s protocols, setting new standards in crisis management and communication.
Richard now shares his elite level listening skills with the commercial world. In this session Richard will help you understand the immediate value of:
- Understanding the drivers behind clients and colleagues’ attitudes and behaviour.
- Use elite listening skills to uncover their true agenda.
- Use those unique insights to influence outcomes.
Round table sessions – The Sounding Board
Being a GC can be a lonely role, whatever the size of your organisation.
The Sounding Board provides an informal and confidential opportunity to talk to other attendees in smaller groups under the Chatham House Rule about the day-to-day issues and how others are tackling them. Questions can be submitted in advance or on the day.
Affordable and innovative legal tech – how to focus on what you really need and selling the benefits to the business
With headlines full of generative AI, some in-house legal teams may feel they are behind the curve. In this session we will take the focus away from AI and discuss how you can drive improvement and add value to the business through using technology in an accessible, affordable and practical way.
