We continue to strengthen our private wealth offering with the appointment of Matthew Briggs as Partner. Matt has a background in international private client and specialises in helping philanthropic individuals with their estate planning. He joins from Irwin Mitchell’s London office and previously headed up the West End office of boutique private client consultancy firm, The Burnside Partnership.

Matt will focus on growing the firm’s profile in the South East and London wealth market. This will be achieved through a comprehensive tax, trusts and estate planning offering, bolstered by cross-departmental collaboration, excellent client service and a strong reputation.

Paul Lowery, Head of our Wills, Trusts & Probate, commented: 'Matt brings a fresh perspective and depth of experience to our private client services, specifically around complex inheritance issues impacting high-net-worth clients. His ability to help families navigate through the challenges of multi-generational wealth with the right approach, as well as his experience in the non-profit sector, will be a real asset to the team, as we continue to grow our reputation in the Thames Valley and beyond.”

Matt Briggs adds, “As part of the Boyes Turner private wealth team, my goal is to help position the firm as the leading provider of private client services in the region. I’m looking forward to enhancing our service offerings, introducing new strategic relationships and driving growth for the firm. The aim is to ensure that Boyes Turner stands out as the premier choice for high-net-worth clients.”

Matt’s appointment follows Nadine Jayes joining us last year, building the firm’s specialist estate planning offer, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, business owners and non-UK domiciled individuals.
