Thames Valley law firm Boyes Turner continues to attract the best legal talent and has appointed a new dispute resolution partner.
Phillip Baldwin has joined the Reading-based firm and will focus on business disputes. This will include complex commercial contract claims such as disputes around the supply of goods and services, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims and asset finance litigation.
Phillip will also work with clients on strategic issues to avoid or contain potential disputes. As an Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner, Phillip often helps clients to settle claims without the need for litigation. Phillip also has Higher Rights of Audience, which means he can undertake advocacy on behalf of clients if required.
Phillip trained and qualified at a large regional firm in Southampton. He has also worked in the British Virgin Islands, undertaking offshore litigation for ultra-high net worth individuals.
At Boyes Turner Phillip’s clients will include high net worth individuals, SME’s, large owner managed businesses, start-ups, PLC’s and multinational organisations.
Commenting on his appointment Phillip Baldwin said: “I am looking forward to working with the excellent team here at Boyes Turner. The firm has a very strong reputation for its client service and the dispute resolution team is well known for its legal expertise and pragmatic approach, which seeks to find the best solutions for clients.”
Rowan Turrall, head of dispute resolution at Boyes Turner added: “Phillip brings exceptional experience to our team. We are one of the largest dispute resolution teams in the region and with new hires like this we will continue to offer clients the support they need, which could range from advice to avoid disputes, to resolving disputes out of court or running large litigations through to trial.”
