Nicola Weeks

Nicola Weeks is a Senior Associate in Boyes Turner’s Family team. Qualified since 2014, Nicola has more than 10 years’ experience as a specialist family solicitor. She advises both married and unmarried clients on a broad range of family matters, providing practical, sensitive and commercially focused support tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and objectives.

Nicola focuses on resolving complex, high value financial disputes in divorce proceedings and on the breakdown of unmarried relationships. Nicola has considerable experience in advising clients in cases involving complex disputes, including trusts, inherited wealth and business assets.

Nicola also has particular expertise in representing clients in resolving the arrangements for children both by agreement and in court proceedings including cases with allegations of domestic abuse, parental alienation and capacity issues. Nicola can also assist where one parent wishes to relocate with a child, both internally within the UK and overseas.

Nicola is building a strong reputation for assisting clients who have complex and challenging circumstances often including children with special educational needs. This requires a complex understanding of those needs both within the breakdown of the relationship, division of finances and the arrangements for the time they spend with each parent. Nicola has a compassionate and understanding nature which is vital for work in these challenging circumstances.

Nicola can also assist you with the protection of assets through the preparation of pre and post-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.

Nicola is a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers committed to dealing with divorce, separation and other family matters, in a non-confrontational manner. Nicola is committed to Resolution’s code of practice and to resolving issues in a constructive and positive way and Nicola is experienced in resolving matters by way of negotiation and other non-court dispute resolution methods. Nicola is co-chair of Resolution for the Berkshire & Buckinghamshire region and helps to plan events for other local family lawyers and campaign for relevant changes in the region.

Nicola is a governor for the schools of Woolton Hill and is the designated safeguarding lead.
