Role Description

We are now looking for a bright and enthusiastic team member to join our Dispute Resolution team based in Reading. 
The Dispute Resolution team’s work covers a wide spectrum of litigation and contentious work.  Reporting into the Dispute Resolution Partner you will be responsible for providing direct advice on a wide range of commercial and property disputes.

Experience/ Attributes required

  • Interest in working on high quality and complex legal disputes but also able to run own caseload of lower value matters (with supervision)
  •  Strong client focus and a commitment to service delivery
  • Ability to work part of a team as well as independently.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent keyboard skills plus good knowledge of Microsoft office software
  • Be self-motivated and willing to learn
  •  Experience of a broad range of litigious matters during training contract including both commercial and property litigation

Work type:

  •  Handling your own caseload (subject to supervision).
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships
  •  Assisting partners and senior solicitors with more substantial dispute matters
  •  Undertake relevant research and communicate results clearly.
  •  Ability to draft straightforward documents whilst under supervision
  • Process clients’ cases on a timely and cost effective basis
  •  Participating in marketing initiatives such as attending conferences, writing articles and creating marketing material
