April 2024 sees big changes in employment legislation. Changes to holiday accruals and pay for irregular and part year workers, the “revolution” in flexible working requests and a new right to take carer’s leave, to name but a few of the changes HR and managers will need to get to grips with. 

However, with all the changes comes the inevitable questions:

  • What if I have several employees who all meet the “protected” status in an at risk pool?
  • We only have 2 months to manage a flexible working request – how do we do that if an employee does not attend a flexible working meeting?
  • If I want to roll-up holiday pay for my irregular workers, how do I do this?
