Ellie Adams (ACILEx) is a senior paralegal in the firm’s Court of Protection Team.
She deals with the management of property and finances of vulnerable people who lack capacity to manage their own affairs. Ellie also advises and manages applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of both professional and lay deputies; has experience in drafting expert witness costs reports; managing the completion of annual reports to the Office of the Public Guardian; and provides general support to lawyers within the team.
Ellie has particular expertise in the financial management of vulnerable people who suffer with mental health problems such as schizophrenia, depression, psychosis, and addiction problems. She also has expertise in dealing with elderly clients who suffer with dementia and other age-related illnesses such as Korsakoff’s Syndrome, Parkinson’s Disease, and stroke patients.
Ellie has successfully completed a paralegal course with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is an affiliate of CILEx, soon to be registered with the institute of paralegals. She continues to study with CILEx and is currently focused on civil litigation.
